If only our leadership journeys were linear! Mine has been full of twists and turns, ups and downs, surprises and curve balls. That’s what’s made it hard and glorious and…MINE! What makes your leadership journey yours?

Looking back at many points in the first 15 years of my career, I wish I had a Leadership Coach when I felt lost, afraid and alone, but I didn’t know such a thing existed! Someone to ask me the potent and hard questions. Someone to hold me in my magnificence and possibilities when I couldn’t see either.

While I was growing in my own leadership in New York City and working for a youth development organization, coaching found me/I found it as I tried to figure out how to lead a team effectively. Once I discovered that coaching was not just a skill set towards that endeavor, but a whole sector and career path, I was like a dog with a bone that had to go after it! But how?

While I was facing a lot of self doubt, purpose confusion, fear and uncertainty, I hired my first coach. This illuminated further what was trying to get my attention for years of feeling over extended and misaligned in not just what I was doing, but how I was doing it. Within weeks, I resigned my role with the organization I’d loved and spent 10 years with and enrolled in the highly regarded coaching program, Co-Active Training Institute (CTI).

The experience at CTI was a revelation that coaching had always been in my heart to support, grow and evoke flourishing leadership in myself, in others, in systems and the world. From the moment I walked into the first course, I knew within minutes that I had found my next professional home, the intersectional place that explained why I was always jumping back and forth in bookstores between the personal growth and business sections.

While doing intensive inner growth and shifting my career trajectory, many other aspects of my life started changing as well. In 2017, having been an east coaster my whole life and after a lot of inner reflection, contemplation and discussions with my partner, we moved to Los Angeles. This was emblematic of my own realignment with the lifestyle design I longed to create. In fact, my last CTI evaluation call was facing the Pacific Ocean!

Since beginning my coaching practice in 2018, I have been coaching clients and working with Fortune 100 and 500 companies, along with Leaders of all levels and types, including Executive and C-Suite. I am a proud partner as a group coach for Medley and a Core Guide for the private women’s network, Chief, which was rated one of Time’s 100 most innovative companies. 

I pinch myself all the time that I get to do this work with incredible people.
